Why SQUZO?
Because the oil was never the problem. The bottle was.
Go look at the coconut oil in your kitchen right now. We'll wait.
There it is. A wide-mouth jar, probably. Slightly sticky around the neck. A ring of dried oil on the shelf underneath it. A spoon lives inside it, or next to it, or has gone missing entirely. In December it's gone solid and you have to sit the whole bottle in warm water like it's a patient.
Coconut oil has been in Indian kitchens for centuries. The packaging has been annoying for about as long. Somewhere along the way we all just decided that was normal — that a good ingredient is allowed to be a bad experience.
Squzo started with a simple, slightly stubborn question: why does it have to be like this?
We started with the format, not the ingredient
Most food brands start with something to sell and then find a bottle to put it in. We went the other way around.
The squeeze bottle is the whole idea. One hand. No spoon. No lid gymnastics. You point it at the pan, you squeeze, you're cooking. You control the amount instead of guessing with a tablespoon. Nothing drips down the side and cements itself to your countertop.
It sounds small. It is small. It's also the difference between an ingredient you reach for and one you reach past.
What's actually inside
A better bottle only matters if what's in it is worth squeezing. So we didn't cut corners on the part that goes in your food.
- 100% virgin — nothing blended in, nothing stretched out
- Wood pressed — the slow, low-heat way, so the aroma survives the process
- Chemical free — no refining, bleaching, or deodorising
- Trans fat free — as it should be
- Made in Kerala — from the place that has been doing this longest
If you grew up around coconut oil, you already know the test: open it and smell it. Real cold-pressed oil smells like coconut. The industrial stuff smells like nothing at all. That's the whole tell.
From Kerala, without the nostalgia act
We're from Kerala. Coconut isn't a trend here, it's infrastructure. It's in the cooking, the hair oil, the roof, the fence, the snack, the wedding.
But "traditional" has become an excuse in this category — a reason for packaging that hasn't changed in forty years and labels that look like a certificate. We wanted to keep the part that's genuinely good (how the oil is made, where it comes from) and update the part that was never sacred (a jar).
Old ingredient. New bottle. That's the entire brief.
Squzo isn't a coconut oil brand
This is the part we want to be upfront about: coconut oil is where we start, not what we are.
Squzo is a format. A pantry full of things that are better when you can squeeze them instead of scooping them. Once you accept that the bottle is the product, a lot of your kitchen starts looking fixable.
Coconut oil
The first one. Cold-pressed, wood pressed, straight from Kerala.
Peanut butter
In progress. Because the knife-and-jar routine deserves to end too.
More to come
Anything that's currently stuck at the bottom of a jar is fair game.
So — why Squzo?
Because you shouldn't need a spoon, a napkin, and a warm water bath to cook one dosa.
Because the ingredient was already good and everyone stopped there.
Because the small, daily, unglamorous friction in a kitchen is worth designing away — and once it's gone, you don't go back.
No Mess.
Just Squeeze.
Squzo — cold-pressed coconut oil in a squeeze bottle. Made in Kerala.
